December 2008
Thanks to all who showed Lion Al Stigler, just how many lives he touched. God Bless Lion Al Stigler.
Thanks to my 1st and 2nd Vice Presidents for conducting the meetings, while I’m goofing off!! However, I have been attending the Yuma Quartermasters Lions Club meetings, and also participated in one of their fund raisers and one of their projects.
December events:
| December 3rd | Regular Meeting @ V.F.W held by 1st VP Lion Mickey Cohodes. (He doesn’t know it yet until he reads this news letter) Thanks Again Lion Mickey. |
| December 10th | Board Meeting @ V.F.W. |
| December 17th | CHRISTMAS PARTY AND PRESENT EXCHANGE/STEAL. This year’s party will be at Country Squire Up Stairs. Choice of entrée will be Chicken Oscar, (chicken breast smothered with Hollandaise sauce, topped with crab meat and asparagus), or a Filet Mignon with sautéed mushrooms. Cost is $20.00 per person. Also, bring a gift between $20.00 to $25.00. You will receive a ticket, when your number is called, you will choose a gift. The next number called may steal that present or again choose another gift not opened yet, and so on. I suggest gifts such as gas cards, gift cards, cash, decorative center piece, or gift certificates from your favorite restaurant. Buy something that you would like to have. It will be fun to see how many times something gets taken away!! |
| December 25TH | A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!! |
